Hello, I'm one of the newer players here, and I'm just going to make a minor suggestion, since I haven't seen a lot of the server yet, and don't want to be too presumptuous. One thing I've noticed while I've played here is the very short duration of the hours ingame. I'm not sure, but it doesn't seem to have been adjusted at all from the NWN standard of 2 minutes per hour. This is just a guess, since I'm not using a stopwatch. My suggestion is that perhaps the length of an hour could be increased somewhat. It's nothing particularly important, but I'll list some of the potential advantages.
Firstly, on a strictly RP level, the standard duration makes 1 day RL last about 30 days IC, or one month, roughly. I have encountered people on various servers, who go strictly by the ingame clock, and so doing would make their character age a year in about 12 days. Now, most won't be that strict about it (I'm not, at least), but it's a possibility. However, I know it does seem odd to be standing in the middle of town talking, and in the course of a single conversation, two days has passed.
On a practical and mechanics side, increasing the duration of an IC hour would increase the effective duration of the hour per level spells. This can be good, allowing for a bit more time before they wear off, forcing a rest, or by the same measure that can be bad. I'm not sure if the hours were kept short to force the duration of the spells to be short or not. In my experience with various servers, I've found the general length of an IC hour to be between 8-14 RL minutes.
So, that's my suggestion. I hope people feel free to add their two cents to the pot. I see a longer hour as perhaps a slightly better RP tool, since in talking for twenty minutes, you won't have passed the better part of a day, and mechanics wise, people will not be required to stop and buff quite as often.
