A cold, strong wind blows out of the Finisterre Mountains today, remarked one guard to another, standing at the gates in Num For. They both shivered abit, the weather was unseasonably cold for this time of year.

Meanwhile high in the mountains, a cave that seeps with magical energies, is being explored. She thinks to herself, while swallowing the last of the ogre she just killed, this will do nicely. She coils her great body up in the middle of the cavern to estimate where she would like to place her horde. She is slightly uneasy as the cave has a smell to it that is she unfamiliar with, but it smells like death and decay, but something else too. This cave has drawn her here through it's power and it was the home of her mate Scintillion, oh where could he be.

She stands and stretches her great wings, they nearly reach both sides of the cave. She purrs to herself, a sound that would strike fear into any man, just perfect she thinks. Crystillion has not been awake for a long time, she decides that ogre was not a good enough meal and exits the cave.

With a great flap of her enormous wings and swoop of her tail she leaps into the air, high above the cliffs, and swoops down towards the forest to the south. As she nears, this new territory for her, she sees a human settlement in the distance. Crystillion quickly drops below the trees and lands, uprooting a few in the process.

She recalls a spell to mind, a green light and wind swirls around her till she is obscured from sight, it begins to die down. When the dust settles there is nothing but a naked female elf standing there, among the trees and forest, she seems natural, at peace and at home in the forest.

Crystillion begins to walk in the direction of the settlement. Thinking to herself this will be fun I have not talked to humans in two thousand years.

Crystillion sat in the old Stone Wall pass, the winds of the pass began to blow southernly she could smell something new on the wind.... men from another land. She turns and walks down the pass aways sniffing the air every few paces. Not just men but an army, war was coming or so it seemed.

She feels the urge to see Savreen and Anah to warn them, but the counsel may not like her entering their territory. And it may be to late for they grow near. Crystillion approaches the camp they are making night will fall soon. She takes her human form of Krystal and moves in closer.

She can now see some of their scouts and can hear them talking, they are dark skinned and fiercely armed, they mean to make war there is no doubt. Krystal turns to walk away suddenly she is grabbed with a great green hand of magic... As she curses in Draconic with out thinking about it she is rushed upon by several scouts and mages and other soliders. She hears a voice...

Voice1 "see.. see... I told you capt, there she is, a dragon, just like I saw in my dream"

Voice2 "This is no dragon it is merely a girl, a play toy for the men"

Voice1 " No sir I assure you this is no normal girl, when have I been wrong before"

Voice2 "Very well, knock her out and entrap her"

Just before the man hits her with a huge club, she could see the back of the leaders cloak a crimson fist on a black cloak.....then darkness.

Krystal stirred in the early morning, she could not move though. She was held in a cage that kept her immobile. She could see a blind man standing before her. He was dressed in a silver, red and black uniform with a black cloak, holding a staff that dripped with divine power. He began to speak to her.

Bale - "Good morning, im Bale Kathos, blind leader of the Red hand"
Krystal - "Let me go please, I mean you no harm"
Bale - "Im afraid I cannot do that, you are very important in some way to our plans, how I do not know yet but...."

He stopped speaking as a large man in similar but better kept heavier armor approached followed by several equally large men bearing weapons and armor. He has dark hair and eyes, eyes that piece like an arrow, he was keen and sharp, nothing seemed to escape his gaze as he approached.

Commander - "Bale what have you learned of our guest" with a wide grin on the last word.
Bale - "Nothing yet Captain" Salutes as he approaches.
Commander - " Very well... she is awake I see" Turns to one of his men....
Commander - "Send for Maldothe Dekane, tell him SHE is awake"
Solider - "At once sir" Saluting as he turns to run off.
Commander - "Hmmm.. what secrets do you hold Crystillion"

Krystal was shocked to hear her draconic name used, how could they have known......

Maldothe opens the great stone door with but a thought, a cold fog rolls out of the inner chamber. A slight smile dances across his lips for a moment, as his strides confidently into the room. The great stone door grinding closed behind him with a resounding thud. Peering through the thick cold fog, he can vaguely make out the beautiful form of his captive. Sitting on her pedestal like a trophy or rare artifact, surrounded by a force cage of incredible strength.

Maldothe - "Greetings my dear, I hope your well today" a hint of sarcasm in his voice.

Krystal - sniffs the air and responds with a hiss turning into a low gutteral growl that you feel more than hear.

If Maldothe were any other man his blood would be chilled and he would be frozen in fear. But he has become accustomed to her ways after the few years she has spent in his care.

Maldothe - "It seems your nearing the end of your term, soon we will see what we have created. Then the I will be unstoppable with the half Dragons at my command. No army shall stand in my way Arcana will feel the heel of my boot upon their neck" his monologue trails off into maniacal laughter.

Krsytal hangs her head, ashamed of her failure to escape or kill the vile mage before his plans to use her could be completed.
